Requirements

Registered Behavior Technician - RBT

  • 2024 – 2025 school year

  • Full-time | Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week

  • At least 1-2 years of school experience

  • Valid Registered Behavior Technician credential in good standing

  • Applications from out-of-state Registered Behavior Technicians are welcome!

Responsibilities of the Registered Behavior Technician:

  • Modeling the desired behavior before students can demonstrate it, as a teaching method.

  • Providing meaningful rewards when students exhibit desired behaviors.

  • Guiding students to display desired behaviors as opportunities arise during daily routines.

  • Teaching students the individual but related "steps" in desired behavioral sequences and reinforcing each mastered step.

  • Supporting BCBAs as instructed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.

  • Instructing students in specific behavioral skills outlined in treatment plans.

  • Enhancing students’ social skills.

  • Communicating the results of behavioral interventions to students’ parents and caregivers.
